He also highlighted their Hireright program, which leverages AI to ensure the right candidates are selected at each stage of the hiring process, achieving a 95% success rate in talent acquisition. Govindraj Panagadan, Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Apexon, shared his journey of driving global talent acquisition functions and how, in the past, he managed recruitment even before the advent of computers. His experience spans over decades, including integrating AI-driven technology for seamless recruitment processes across multiple regions.
Vishnu Dev, Partner at EY People Consulting, stressed the critical role of technology in recruitment, noting that 65% of Gen-Z candidates use technology to make decisions about where to work. Vinod Subramanian, Managing Director at AMS India, shed light on the various types of biases that can influence hiring decisions, including affinity bias, confirmation bias, conformity bias, group bias, age and gender bias, name bias, halo or horn bias, and attribution bias. He emphasized the need for technology to help identify and eliminate these biases, enabling more objective, merit-based hiring decisions.
Arvind J, Global CHRO at Mastek, discussed how cultural fit plays a role in hiring, as well as the biases that can emerge from employee referrals. He mentioned the importance of conducting trainings and awareness programs to help HR teams and hiring managers recognize and mitigate these biases, ensuring a fairer and more inclusive recruitment process.
Rohit Adlakha, CXO Advisor and AI & Digital Revolutionary, brought attention to the power of diversity in driving higher team performance. He pointed out that diverse teams perform 35% better than homogeneous teams, underlining how diversity leads to better innovation, decision-making, and overall business outcomes.
